.I DID IT!!.
It was the most amazing thing I have ever done.
Ever.
I am sorting through the 600 pictures I took now and when I am done I will post more details on the weekend, but the pictures won't ever tell the story of what I saw and experienced over the last 3 days.
What an amazing end to an amazing journey.
I am very proud to tell you that I finished ALL 39 miles!! I couldn't have done it with a more amazing group of women by my side. Really. Christy's Crew really is an amazing bunch of people. We laughed, we hurt, we cried....over and over again.
We raised $45,000 for breast cancer!!!
I am still on a high and I am sure I will be for some time. It was life changing to say the least...
I will post more about all of the details later, but I wanted to let everyone know I am home and alive and FINISHED all 39 miles!!!
Auhhh...it was SO amazing.

.I walk for life.
I took this picture on August 21st. It was Christy's second chemo treatment for breast cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer on July 13th, 2007. We cried that night. We drank wine.
The next day...this smile was there. It stayed there. Through 8 rounds of chemo. Through a double mastectomy. Through weeks of radiation.
Christy looks a little bit different now. Her hair is short. Her breasts are smaller. Her heart and soul will be forever touched by a disease that she courageously fought and beat.
We are all different though. When you say it was an "honor" to be with her on her journey through it treatments people look at you funny. It was a honor.
There are so many people that Christy helped make better people by her courage. By her desire to share her story. By her strength. We all are a bit different because of her.
Through Christy's Crew and our fundraising efforts to help find a cure; the world will be different.
I can't believe the walk is FINALLY here!
I walk for you! I walk for Chris' Grandmother, Donna Pitts, Debbie Neenan, and Kathy Parisi. I walk for all of the women we have met through Christy's Crew who have battled or are battling this disease. I walk for each one of the little girls on my softball team I coach and all of their friends, so that someday they don't have to fight a disease that has already taken too many.
I WALK FOR LIFE!!!
I Walk for Life
(Melissa Etheridge)
It's been years since they told her about it
The darkness her body possessed
And the scars are still there in the mirror
Everyday that she gets herself dressed
Though the pain is miles and miles behind her
And the fear is now a docile beast
If you ask her why she is still running
She'll tell you it makes her complete
[Chorus:]
I run for hope
I run to feel
I run for the truth
For all that is real
I run for your mother, your sister, your wife
I run for you and me, my friend
I run for life
It's a blur since they told me about it
How the darkness had taken its toll
And they cut into my skin and they cut into my body
But they will never get a piece of my soul
And now I'm still learning the lesson
To awake when I hear the call
And if you ask me why I am still running
I'll tell you I run for us all
[Chorus:]
I run for hope
I run to feel
I run for the truth
For all that is real
I run for your mother your sister your wife
I run for you and me my friend
I run for life
And someday if they tell you about it
If the darkness knocks on your door
Remember her remember me
We will be running as we have before
Running for answers
Running for more
I run for hope
I run to feel
I run for the truth
For all that is real
I run for your mother, your sister, your wife
I run for you and me my friend
I run for hope
I run to feel
I run for the truth
For all that is real
I run for your mother your sister, your daughter, your wife
For you and me my friend
I run for life
Ohohohoh
I run for your mother your sister your wife
I run for you and me my friend
I run for life

Jibber.
Right before school I asked him if he wanted to go. He went in and went and told me there was a little poop in his pants. What was there was a "skid mark". I wouldn't even consider this "pooping his pants." So, he goes poop, and quickly tells me that "Now I have to clean my undies" in a tone were it is no big deal. We were late for school already, so I told him that he could do it when he gets home.
First thing he does when he walks in the door is happily announce that he needs to clean his undies. He goes into the sink, adds some soap, and washes them. NO BIG DEAL. I am working, and he BRINGS them to me dripping poop water all over the floor to show me how proud he was of his newly cleaned poop undies!
This my friends is why Connor is so hard....NOTHING PHASES THIS KID AT ALL!!! Nothing.
So knowing that he pooped he continued on with his afternoon playing outside....he comes back in...goes up stairs for a while and then comes down and throws undies in the washer! He POOPED AGAIN!!! And washed them on his own. :)
I just can't win. So this morning we did the 10 minutes again (nothing.), he will do it again between schools and after pre-k.
He went SEVEN days with nothing...this is a mental issue...if it was the medical issue that my Dr. thought it was he wouldn't have been able to do that. Connor just wants to give me gray hair. :)
On another note...did American Idol completely suck last night or what? I mean come on....Neil Diamond? I grew up with my parents listening to them. Nothing against my parents, but if my parents STILL have an 8 track tape of one of his albums, he probably shouldn't be a guest in 2008 on American Idol. I can do a little "Sweet Caroline" at the sporting events...or even a little "America".....but a whole show with each person singing two Neil Diamond songs? I hope next week's theme is better. I don't even really like anyone but David Cook anyway....Syesha has the best vocals, but since the producers don't like her she will never go far. David A....isn't that good!! Jason? Get a hair cut...and more voice lessons. I really think he is horrible! Brook? Airhead. Auhhh...enough about American Idol. :)
