My brother's house in League City is less then 1 mile from Galveston Bay. The spent the night moving everything from the bottom floor of the house to the top floor and packed up everything important to them and put it in their two cars and headed toward Dallas. They were the lucky ones who filled up with gas and made a hotel reservation in Dallas yesterday BEFORE the storm turned in direction a bit.

As most of you know, it has been a horrible week for my brother...he was furloughed along with 150 other pilots from Continental on Tuesday. If this hurricane heads in the direction it is and intensifies the way they are thinking my brothers house could be in serious trouble too. Nothing like losing your house and your job in one week. Ugghh....
