What a crazy weekend!! I don't even know were to start.
Friday night CJ had a game at ESL at 6:10, so we raced to his game which he tied, and then raced out of there an headed to the Blue Cross Arena for Connor's mid-period game during the Amerks game. This is so exciting for the kids, and even MORE exciting when you are goalie!! Connor did great, made this one great save, just like Ryan Miller, and then we watched the Amerks lose...again. :)
Saturday was another busy hockey day. It started off with my 5 mile training walk in the morning, then some errands in the afternoon, and then another hockey game for Connor at 6:00 pm. Just like that, your whole day is shot.
Sunday it was much of the same....4 mile training walk followed up by our personal training session....where....well....once again I got my ass kicked. All for a good cause! :)
Yesterday afternoon it was yet another hockey game, this time CJ's. This was a BIG game for us because it was against the first place team in our league which just happens to be the other Rochester Youth Hockey Mite team. Big rivalry! Guess what? WE WON!! I just knew the Giants were going to win then....the underdog that works hard always wins (well...not always...but...). It was the last regular season game for CJ, and now we move on to tournaments and playoffs - which is really exciting!
Then of course the super bowl was last night and you know how excited everyone was in this house!!
Anyway, it was a great weekend...full of fun times...and realizations that my boys are little men now and that I am no longer 20 and in college in tip-top shape!
